To fulfill its mission the California Literary Arts Society (CLAS) presents many activities, including writing and publishing programs for youth. These programs are in collaboration with libraries, public schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, and juvenile facilities. In each program a book is published of the participants’ writing.

CLAS helps young authors with sentence structure, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and other facets of literacy through working with them on their own writing. In the process they gain a sense of accomplishment and greater self-confidence. They are rewarded by seeing their own works in a published book and receiving copies of it.

So far, CLAS Publishing has produced four books written by young people between the ages of 8 through 18. These are for sale to the public and all of the proceeds go back into our youth writing and publishing programs.

You can order the books listed below by sending a check payable to CLAS, P.O. Box 782, Ventura, CA 93002. For more information or to order more than one copy of each book, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . There is a shipping/handling discount for the purchase of two or more books of each title.
