CLAS is happy to announce that we are producing a Ventura Book Festival again this year. It will be on July 17 at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach hotel where we have held it the past two years. It will be our fifth annual book festival. Yes, we're still here and, as other popular book festivals in California have been cancelled due to the uncertain economy, we are delighted that we are able to continue to serve authors, illustrators, publishers, book lovers, literary organizations, and others.

We will begin accepting exhibitor applications after April 15. The deadlne for registration and payment is June 30. Please watch this site for updated information. An exhibitor application for the 2010 book festival is now available for downloading.

This year we will be offering advance reservations for our popular educational seminars that take place throughout the day. A list of speakers and more details about the presentations will be available after May 15. As we can no longer provide free seminars, we will be charging a small fee for each session. However, a few scholarships are available for those who need help. You may register for the seminars after June 1.
